Our church is currently served by two elders, Terry Spriesterscach and Gary Mattingly.
Terry Spriestersbach - serves the congregation as an elder, bible class teacher and part of the pulpit ministry
Terry and his wife Gail are 40 and 50 year members of the Lord's church
respectively. They live in Eaton Twp. where they have resided for 40 years. Terry is a graduate of Baldwin Wallace College and is retired from Fifth Third Bank. Gail [a bible class
teacher and active in the ladies' ministry] is an MB Johnson School of Nursing graduate and Registered Nurse at University Hospital's Elyria Campus. Their adult children, son Joe Spriestersbach
[Grafton] and daughter Jennifer Sheba [Elyria Twp.], are members of the church since their teen years. Jennifer and her husband Joe have 2 fur babies, Max and Leo [full blood Siamese cats]. Joe
and his wife Jill have 2 children, Alyson and Jared, and Beaux [a fur child German Shepherd].
Our ladies are active in keeping the churches social calendar full while they also are active in making small stuffed animals for children that must visit the local hospital. They are also active
in a hopital visitation ministry.
Many of our women are active in teaching our children’s classes as well. We believe our mission is to take the gospel to a lost and dying world as we are instructed in the Great Commission: "Go
into all the world and preach he gospel to all creation" (Mark 16:15).
We also believe our purpose, as the church, is to help Christians develop to a maturity to be Christ-like: for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the
body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of
Christ (Ephesians 4:12, 13).
Our desire is to reflect the First Century church as close as we can understand. This applies not only to worship, but in dedication to the Apostles teaching, prayer, and to fellowship as
If you are local and looking for a church home, we would welcome you to come and become part of our family. If you are traveling through our area we would be honored for you to visit us.
